This study aims to analyze the potential development of sago commodity in Belopa District, Luwu Regency and determine strategies increase its added value. uses a qualitative approach that is descriptive analysis. Data collection techniques through observation, interviews documentation.Research subjects were determined based on criteria by researcher, which consisted farmers as key informants, home industries processing sago-based food, traders local government additional informants. The data analysis technique used SWOT results showed effort value farming very dependent internal external conditions business from upstream downstream object be developed. calculation combined strategy planning obtained highest score SO strategy, 25.6. So set should chosen includes two alternative strategies, namely improving quality human resources support diversification processed products utilizing availability plants raw materials for sago. adding variants (varieties) order culture buying souvenirs.
